The Music Department of the Scholeion Psaltikis provides its students with the necessary theoretical training and the necessary resources to cover the practical needs of contemporary church practice, such as for example the composition of services for younger saints but also the transcription or re-composition of church music pieces in languages other than Greek.
The student-composer expands his singing training, is equipped with confidence and comfort in chanting parts without a musical text while at the same time satisfying his personal need for artistic creation.
