Poulios Ioannis

Ioannis Poulios was born in 1994 in Germany. He is a graduate of the Department of Folk and Traditional Music of the TEI of Epirus with a specialization in the violin and holds a Degree in Byzantine Music. He has also studied at Yildiz Technical University of Istanbul. His teachers were Giorgos Psaltis, Makis Baklatzis, Özer Özel as well as Nedim Nalbantoğlu.

He has taken part in festivals and concerts and actively participates in discography having collaborated with a multitude of important musicians, singers and bands – Haig Yazdjan, Antonis Apergi, Tasso Poulio, Fotis Siotou, Nikos Paraoulakis, Mattheos and Costas Tsachouridis, Alcinoos Ioannidis, Apostolos Rizo, Nadia Karagianni, Areti Ketime, Vitraux Project, Lappino project, Apostolos Sideris Quintet and the Heliodromio shape.

He started teaching violin in 2018 in Katerini and Thessaloniki, while since 2020 his collaboration with the “Chanting School” has begun.
